powers creativity through intelligent systems

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Section 1

Designing A.I. Powered Interfaces for Idea Generation

55MV is an AI-driven creative technology company focused on expanding how ideas are discovered, explored, and developed. Rather than replacing human creativity, their approach is to augment it, building systems that act as catalysts for thinking rather than generators of finished work.

At the core of their offering is a proprietary ideas database and a series of machine learning models designed to surface insights, observations, and unexpected creative directions. These systems are used by agencies, marketers, and creative teams to unlock new ways of thinking and uncover non obvious opportunities.

Our role was to help translate these powerful but abstract systems into usable digital products, designing and building interfaces that allow users to interact with, explore, and build upon machine assisted ideas in a meaningful way.

THE CHALLENGE

Section 2

Bridging Complexity and Usability

55mv had developed a sophisticated set of internal models capable of generating insights and ideas across a wide range of contexts. However, these systems existed largely as backend capabilities, with no UI for users to interact with them.

The challenge was not just technical, it was conceptual. The product needed to preserve the depth and flexibility of the underlying models while presenting them in a way that felt intuitive, usable, and creatively inspiring.

This required designing interfaces that could balance structure and exploration giving users enough control to guide outputs, while still allowing for unexpected and non-obvious results to emerge.

THE CHALLENGE

Section 3

From Structured Exploration to Fluid Creativity

AIDIA was the first step in transforming 55mv's models into a usable product. Designed as an early interface layer, it introduced structured pathways for interacting with the system through two primary tools: the Insight Board and the Idea Board.

The Insight Board allowed users to select a market category and input a product or service, generating observations and insights based on the underlying models. The Idea Board approached the problem differently—taking a small set of keywords and expanding them into full campaign concepts.

From a technical perspective, we built the full frontend interface and integrated it with 55mv's API, handling input processing and rendering outputs including structured data, imagery, video, and audio. We also developed a user system using Supabase and Google authentication, allowing users to save, edit, and revisit generated ideas.

While AIDIA functioned as a proof of concept, it established the foundation for how users could interact with machine assisted creativity.

Designing interfaces that balance control and creative exploration

Both AIDIA and Thunderbucket required a careful balance between structure and freedom. Too much control would limit creativity, while too little would produce unusable results. By designing guided inputs alongside open-ended exploration tools, the interface allows users to direct outputs while still discovering unexpected ideas.

End-to-end system integrating AI outputs with user driven workflows

The platform connects frontend interfaces with 55mv's AI services via API, processing user inputs and returning structured outputs including text, imagery, video, and audio. A user system built with Supabase and Google authentication enables saving, editing, and retrieval of ideas, creating a persistent and evolving creative workspace.

THE CHALLENGE

Section 4

Combining creativity, innovation, and accessibility

This solution hits all the right notes. The new site is a perfect blend of creative boldness and professional functionality, offering visitors an engaging and inspiring experience. The video portfolios and dynamic elements capture the essence of 55MV's production capabilities, while the detailed content adds depth to the user journey.

The headless CMS architecture means 55MV can update their content as easily as they complete new projects, ensuring their digital presence stays as current as their creative output. It's a website that not only showcases their production expertise but also grows with them, adapting to their evolving artistic vision.

Bonny and Ryan are fabulous. They balance deep technical knowledge with commercial nous to provide solutions that work for their clients well into the future. They are responsive, thoughtful and considered in their approach. They are also a joy to work with on a personal level.
